Effective Date: To be finalized before launch. Pre-launch draft dated September 24, 2026.
1. Website Care Plan billing
- $5 for the first month under the Founding Customer Offer.
- $39/month beginning with the second month.
- The plan automatically renews monthly until canceled.
- There is no long-term commitment and no cancellation fee.
The Founding Customer Offer is planned for UpwardGrid’s first 10 customers. Before enrollment, checkout will show the one-time setup fee separately from the recurring Website Care Plan, state when the first service period and first $39 renewal begin, and require affirmative agreement to the automatic renewal terms.
2. How to cancel
You may cancel future monthly renewals using the online cancellation method made available to you or by emailing hello@upwardgrid.com from the address associated with your account. Include the business name and website domain so the request can be matched accurately.
You will not be required to call, attend a sales conversation, or explain why you are canceling. UpwardGrid should acknowledge the request in writing and identify the final paid service date.
3. When cancellation takes effect
Cancellation stops future recurring monthly charges after the current paid service period, subject to the final terms shown at checkout. Unless applicable law or the final checkout terms require otherwise, the current monthly charge is not prorated merely because cancellation occurs partway through a paid service period.
Website hosting, SSL management, uptime monitoring, maintenance, and included updates continue through the end of the current paid period and then end. A cancellation request does not erase amounts already due for services provided before the effective cancellation date.
4. The $149 setup fee
The setup fee pays for initial website setup and production work. UpwardGrid will confirm the project scope and notify you in writing before substantive work starts.
If you cancel before substantive work begins
The setup fee is generally refundable. Any specific, nonrecoverable third-party cost that you approved in advance may be deducted if permitted by applicable law and disclosed before it is incurred.
If you cancel after substantive work begins
UpwardGrid may retain the portion of the setup fee reasonably connected to work already completed and committed project resources. Depending on the amount of completed work, some or all of the setup fee may be nonrefundable. UpwardGrid should provide a plain-English explanation of the status and any refund calculation.
Substantive work means business-specific planning, copy preparation, design, page construction, or other production work created specifically for your website after the agreed scope, required inputs, and written start confirmation are in place.
5. If UpwardGrid cannot deliver the agreed service
If UpwardGrid determines it cannot deliver the agreed setup service and you have not caused the inability to perform, UpwardGrid will cancel the project and provide an appropriate refund for the undelivered setup work. The amount and timing will depend on work already delivered, any lawful nonrecoverable approved costs, the final agreement, and applicable law.
This policy does not limit any refund or remedy required by applicable law.
6. Domain, hosting, and website files after cancellation
The domain should remain registered to and controlled by you whenever practical. UpwardGrid hosting and maintenance end when the paid service period ends.
You may request a copy of the core website files associated with your website when service ends. UpwardGrid does not transfer ownership or licenses for third-party services, third-party assets, internal automation systems, proprietary internal tools, or anything it does not have the right to transfer. Migration, new hosting, reconfiguration, or ongoing support is not included unless separately agreed.
7. Processing and records
Cancellation requests should be sent before the next renewal is processed. UpwardGrid will use the date and time the request is received when determining whether a future renewal should be stopped, subject to applicable law and payment-provider processing constraints. Customers should keep the written cancellation acknowledgment for their records.
8. Contact
Send cancellation, refund, or policy questions to hello@upwardgrid.com. Before paid launch, UpwardGrid must document the online cancellation path, response timing, and any payment-provider steps.
